Your problem is you're... too busy holding onto your unworthiness. ~Ram Dass

Your problem is you're... too busy holding onto your unworthiness.  ~Ram Dass

Let it Go!!  Give it UP!!!  Stop beating yourself up about the past, or the lies you have been told….

You are worthy.   Say it…"I am worthy.."

You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them. ~Michael Jordan

You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.  ~Michael Jordan

Are you giving yourself a break today…I don't mean taking it easy or not working…I mean are you giving yourself enough credit for all that you do everyday..in a positive way?  Are you building yourself UP, by appreciating the things you do well or have attempted to do.  The risks you have taken, taking that first step…because if you have…then you are building the confidence in yourself to expect more…visualize whatever it is you want to do, have or be….. expect it from yourself….

Someday.....

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong.  Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.  ~George Washington Carver

....thinking makes it so

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.  ~William Shakespeare, Hamlet, 1600

Everything you do, everyway you feel physically, emotionally and mentally, every action or inaction you take stems from your mindbody.   I'm not saying that everything that happens to us, or every illness that affects us is created in the mind body, but in every instance your way of thinking definitely controls your body on a cellular level and influences how you experience life.
Lets explore this concept together.
Over the next few weeks I'd like to discuss the book by Candace B. Pert, PhD,  Molecules of Emotion.

There is not such thing as TRY

Try not.  Do or do not.  There is no try.  ~Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back

"I'll try to meet you later for dinner......"

"I'll try to finish that book I'm reading (or writing)........"

"I'll try to go with you........"

"I'll try to help you..........."

So what do you think?   Can you count on me?  Will I do those things?  Will I follow through?   Be honest --what do you expect from me now?

How many times do you use the word "try"?    The word is meaningless. No let me take that back ...it pretty much means " I will not meet you.... finish the book.....go with you....help you."    Making an effort, attempting to accomplish something and setting a goal....doing the best you can... that's all we can do.. Whether you succeed or not, it's the action you take that counts...Do or do not..but don't include "try" in your vocabulary.

If man thinks about his physical or moral state he usually discovers that he is ill.~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

If man thinks about his physical or moral state he usually discovers that he is ill.
~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
Let's turn that around......
Take a moment to think about the things you enjoy,  the things that make you laugh, the things that make you smile.... just smile.  Thank about any time, any where, from your past or what you plan for the future.  Say something about what you are thinking --out loud or to yourself.....

You have done more to improve your health then you realize, just by thinking in a positive way.   According to an article on the Mayo Clinic Website:  Through engaging in positive thinking and most importantly positive self talk you have:

  • Increased life span
  • Lower rates of depression
  • Lower levels of distress
  • Greater resistance to the common cold
  • Better psychological and physical well-being
  • Reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease
  • Better coping skills during hardships and times of stress

Spend your time thinking about the positive,  believe it or not whatever your story, history or past, you have it better then someone else out there in this world.   Do yourself a favor:
Appreciate every day
Find one positive idea, thought or event to think about it every day
OH and smile more.

The Rules

To lengthen your life, shorten your meals.  ~Proverb

Three small meals a day can make all the difference in the world when it comes to a healthy life.   Feeling full and enjoying every bite takes  conscious effort.  Do you really know how many calories you are consuming in one sitting or for that matter while you are watching TV or at the computer?  Research shows that minimal caloric intake can add years to your life... we are not talking about a restrictive diet..let's talk about a realistic plan.. eating the foods you enjoy... tasting the favors and pushing away from the table .. visualizing a smaller portion and knowing that you are not being deprived of anything.    Changing habits and setting realistic goals, that reinforce and encourage you to stay on task.. hypnosis is a powerful tool..it allows you to change habits.. and forgive and release limiting beliefs you may have when it comes to food and your self image
