Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life itself would come to be different. ~Katherine Mansfield

Could we change our attitude, we should not only see life differently, but life itself would come to be different.  ~Katherine Mansfield

You can make a change, but perhaps it's a fear of change that stops people from taking the step to get the help or find the method that will enable them to live a different life.  We are naturally prone to adapting to a pattern and no matter how uncomfortable the pattern (lifestyle) may become, the unknown can be more intimidating.....taking the steps to adjust your point of view will create a new life for you.  "You may not have control over the condition of the world but you do control the condition of your thoughts."  ESC

You never stop creating brain cells!!

Aging is a process, yet due to new research and developments we are learning that the our old ideas about aging are not totally correct.   Did you know that you are creating new brain cells daily?  This is amazing.  It has been common knowledge that stem cells (from bone marrow) become organ cells in the body, but now we know that those same stem cells also become neurons in the brain...new brain cells.     This is HUGE....You are creating new neurons...the growth of brain cells never stop, therefore you can create new pathways of thinking..."learn, change and grow, think new thoughts, change your mind, create your( the) reality" (Everything you Need to Feel Go(o)d, p.47)

Something Small

Sometimes someone says something really small, and it just fits right into this empty place in your heart.  ~From the television show My So-Called Life

Let's not forget that the little emotions are the great captains of our lives and we obey them without realizing it. ~Vincent Van Gogh, 1889

Webster's definition:   Emotions are a conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as a strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body.

All feelings are good, as a natural part of our physiology:
Dr. Pert, PhD feels that emotions (dark or light), should not be ignored, banished or suppressed and that there is harm in doing so.  Through acknowledgement  and integration to our lives, these emotions can not ambush us.
She says that, "There are no bad emotions ...only ones that are stuck (suppressed or denied)" and the suppression of these emotions will lead to a loss of cellular integrity (function, communication and production) both biologically and psychologically.  That loss of integrity presents itself in many forms in the body/mind ..dis-ease, pain, limiting beliefs or discomfort.

Unsticking those emotions through emotionally based methods such as bodywork, guided imagery, hypnosis, energy medicine and EFT gives you the freedom to your live your life authentically.

Emotion is "the flow of information perceived to be essential for the survival of any particular state of consciousness making the observation"   Everything you Need to Feel Go(o)d   p.233

Someday.....

How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong.  Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.  ~George Washington Carver

1 The Psychosomatic Network

If you start to think about your physical or moral condition, you usually find that you are sick.  ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Proverbs in Prose

I used to think that the term psychosomatic meant that any disease, ache or pain you had, was really all in your head, not real, made up and false.   It wasn't a good thing.  You probably believe that to be true also...but the truth is that we do have a communication network, uniting all the systems of your body.  It is the psychosomatic network, a intercellular network and it's mode of communication is through those linking elements, informational substances known as peptides, hormones and neurotransmitters. (These are the substances that tell a cell what to do.)

Access to this system is not just though the brain, but via all sensory organs, based on the person's focus of attention.

So how is this helpful for you to know??   Just know that your thoughts and your state of relaxation have a effect on and are part of the psychosomatic network.  That your thoughts both conscious and subconscious affect the physical state of your body.   And in reality your body and mind are one.
