~Oliver Wendell Holmes, &lt;i&gt;Over the Teacups&lt;/i&gt;, 1891&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;Howard Brody, M.D., Ph.D &amp;nbsp;has written the book,&amp;nbsp;&lt;u&gt;The Placebo Response.&lt;/u&gt;&amp;nbsp; Dr. Brody &amp;nbsp;has gathered research (academic and private) that reflects interesting connections between the way we think and process information and how we physically respond. &amp;nbsp; For example in &amp;nbsp;studies using &amp;nbsp;placebo capsules; ~Eva Young&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;Hypnosis&lt;/span&gt; is all about changing your mind to enable you to make better decisions AND TAKE ACTION....With that said when it comes to making good food choices.. we are consantly getting conflicting information about what is good for us to eat...I just read two articles from the same source and while one suggestion was to eat more of a particular food the other article suggested you stop eating that food altogether.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: large;"&gt;So now-you still don't&amp;nbsp;know what is&amp;nbsp;best&amp;nbsp;to eat&amp;nbsp;and you&amp;nbsp;are &lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;THINKING MORE&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; about &lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;FOOD.&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;No wonder being over-weight is a problem for so many.&amp;nbsp; Diets don't work in the long run, but you can change your habits.&amp;nbsp; ~Author Unknown&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;Why do people overeat? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;If you&amp;nbsp;tend to eat&amp;nbsp;more then your body needs for good health and wellbeing, you may wonder why you can't just stop the mindless eating patterns.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;There are many reasons someone&amp;nbsp;has poor control when it comes to food.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;Sometimes it's chemical:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;We know that eating carbohydrates&amp;nbsp;prompts the body into producing&amp;nbsp;serotonin&amp;nbsp; in &lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;short&amp;nbsp;bursts&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;.&amp;nbsp; Serotonin is a feel good chemical (neurotransmitters) naturally produced in the body and &amp;nbsp;is the same chemical found in prescribed antidepressants.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;You eat&amp;nbsp;..serotonin levels increase...&amp;nbsp;you feel good....&amp;nbsp;the serotonin levels drop....you feel sluggish, let down....you eat some more...you feel good....&amp;nbsp;and so the cycle goes..&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family: Georgia;"&gt;So food can make you feel better mentally and&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;act as&amp;nbsp;an anti-depressant.&amp;nbsp; The tenseness of your muscles as&amp;nbsp;you relive that last move, the should'ves and could'ves that&amp;nbsp;only make you feel the rush of anger and adrenaline.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; So what do you do about it..........?&amp;nbsp; How can you train your brain to allow your body and mind to move on?&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; "Every shot (hit, play) is in the past...reliving it&amp;nbsp;in your mind will only make your muscles&amp;nbsp;freeze up or &amp;nbsp;repeat the motion(s) that you were not happy with to begin with.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; On a diet-You are forced to consider these questions.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;What can I eat for breakfast,..... lunch ...............and dinner?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;What can I eat as a snack?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;How much can I eat? &lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;How much does the food weigh?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;How many calories/points/portions are in that food?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;When can I eat ?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;What can&amp;nbsp;I put&amp;nbsp;on my&amp;nbsp;grocery list?&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;How Many...... are allowed?&amp;nbsp; &lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;Just reading this list makes you hungery.... &lt;br /&gt;Change your mind and your behaviours will change...
